Book your table

Are you staying in our hotel? That is always handy to know, it would be great if you mention this in the online process.

We also like to know beforehand if you'd fancy eating outside (weather permitting). Moving your table to outside on the day, is not always possible anymore.

Will you please consider your arrival time well? That will enable us to prepare ourselves in these challenging times. Thank you!

When you book dinner at 6pm, we'll make sure you will be out in time to experience the Last Post.

Don't worry of your preferred arrival time no longer shows up, you can simply select the next slot. If you arrive early, there's always the bar where you can have a drink whilst you wait for your table.

Please let us know if you would like a table on our terrace.

Come on, book it! You know you want to ;)

always look on the bright side of life

Bad weather!

INSPIRATION

Don't fret, we can keep you occupied, even if the weather turns against you.  There are always the museums to visit, or an escape room to book!  Or if splashing around in water is your thing, Ypres has its own paradise, in the form of Bellewaerde Aqua.  Meanwhile, there are lots of amazing sights to discover at AstroLAB Iris ... but it none of these appeal, then we can suggest the following:

A visit to the Kazematten Brewery

This unique brewery was founded in 2013, within the ramparts which edge the southern part of Ypres.  The remarkable, historic 'Wooden Horse Barracks' by the Lille Gate, were converted into an authentic brewery, where Wipers Times and Grotten Santé are among several beers to be brewed.  If you're curious to learn more about the site, the story of how the brewery came into being and the brewing process, then you will be made most welcome at one of the tours.

The brewery is open every Saturday afternoon from 3pm to 5 pm.  For € 12pp (€ 4 per child), you can visit every part of the brewery and taste three of the beers.

Poperinge Folk Sport Route

A mix of traditional games, old-fashioned bars and Poperinge hospitality go into making a fun half-day or full-days' enterntainment.

Leave your iPads and Smartphones behind and head out to Poperinge, to play real games with real people.

Indoor Skydiving

At Ice Mountain (in Comines, at 15km from Ieper), it's now possible to do indoor skydiving as well as indoor skiing.

Do you sometimes dream of being able to fly as free as a bird?  Or to experience a 'free fall' without having to jump out of an aircraft?  Then this is the place where dreams come true!

Stefan's Pottery

Always fancied having a go at throuwing a pot?

At Stefan's, you can organise a one-off try out.  There is a maximum of 5 participants per session, so you're guaranteed to have personal tuition.  For fans of Stefan's own creations, but who fear their own talent is a little more limited, there's always the shop where you can buy his professionally-turned pots. His workshop is in the idyllic village of Roesbrugge, at 22km from the Ariane Hotel.

Indoor go-carting

In Poperinge, just 10km from Ypres, you can get behing the wheel of a go-cart.  World Karts Poperinge has more than 25 years' experience of indoor go-carting.  Just like the real-life carting specialists, you get to pull on a race suit, balaclava and helmet and receive all the necessary instructions and a safety briefing before pulling away from the start line.  The circuit is challenging and varied.  After the race, each participant receives a report via email.

And après-carting is also possible in the F1-café!

Bowling

Whether young or more mature in years, a game of bowl in always fun.

Atlantis Bowling in Ypres has 10 automatic lanes with computerised scoreboards.  There are also pool tables, billiard tables and the chance to play bingo.

Indoor playground

Welcome to Conquesta, where 'conquering' is the central theme.  And the theme is everywhere to be seen, from the décor to the play equipment.

So let he conquest begin
